The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara was converted from an independent resort to a member of the Ritz-Carlton collection upon its acquisition. Located on 78 acres of exclusive California coastline, the Property is one of a select few California oceanfront resorts. After over 30 years of work securing the appropriate entitlements, Bacara was finally developed in 2000 and subsequently underwent $62 million in renovations from 2011-2016. The 358-room luxury resort features 70,000 square feet of meeting space, a 42,000 square foot spa (one of the largest on the West Coast), six food and beverage outlets, three pools and retail shops.
